Song Of Good News
by Fr. Willard Jabusch (Re) Open your ears oh, you God’s people. Open your ears and hear Good News. Open your hearts oh royal priesthood, God will come to you. (Re) God has spoken to His people Ha-le-lu-u-ia. And His Words are words of wisdom, Ha-le-lu-u-ia. From east and west the people gather Yearning for the chance to hear good news. Young and old have heard the tales of gladness God will come to you.(Re) They who would know the ways of wisdom They who have ears then let them hear. Listen to the words of hope and mercy, God will come to you.(Re) ©1966,1982 by Fr. Willard Jabusch Admistered by OCP Used with Permission Close Lyrics |

| Yea God
Have you noticed how we as a people can rejoice at the drop of a hat. Well we cheer at the sight of a hero ‘cause he “saved us” with a stroke of his bat. We go nuts at the opera and at rock concerts too or when a fish starts to tug on our line. We should all learn to pray in the very same way; to acknowledge the Great One, a living legend for all time. (Re) Singing Yea God! Yea –E-A-God. You are the champion, the champion of love. Singing Yea God! Yea –E-A-God you surprise us each day with your gifts from above. And we’ll stand up and cheer with a voice loud and clear singing, Yea God! Yea –E-A-God, Yea—A– A, Yea God! Could you see how we as a people could rejoice at the sight of the Lord. Just to cheer for our God, He’s a hero ‘cause he saved us with love, not a sword. To go nuts when we find Him in the least of our friends, ‘cause He’s there in the bread and the wine. We could all learn to pray in the very same way; to acknowledge the Great One, a living legend for all time. (Re) Close Lyrics |

| Like A Child
If I could do anything at all, it'd be dance.
If I could be anything at all, it'd be dance.
To tap with the raindrops on a crowded city sidewalk,
Perroet with the snow on the ice. To twirl with the
autumn leaves, salza with the desert sun, horrah with
the small candle-lights.
If I could do anything, be anything at all it'd be dance. If I could do anything at all, it'd be laugh. If I could be anything at all, it'd be laughter. To errupt in a symphony of ho-ho's and ha-ha's, to giggle for no reason at all. To tee-hee when tickled in the marrow of my funny bone, just to laugh with myself. If I could do anything, be anything at all, it'd be laugh. (Re) Like a child who knows that he's loved and can be just to be, a companion of innocent trust on the wings of dignity. If I could do anything, be anything, like a child, I'd be free. If I could do anything at all it'd be play. If I could learn anything at all it'd be how to play. To run on the beach with my kite soaring high, making snow-flakes out of paper would be grand. To play leaf-frog, hide-'n-seek, slap jack or 'tag, you're it' or build a cathedral in the sand. If I could do anything, be anything at all it'd be play. (Re) If I could be anything at all, I'd be free. If I could do anything, I'd let go and be free. To let go of my need to be grown up and in control for I'm a child of both heaven and earth. To step out of my past where my soul is a prisoner into the laughing, playful dance of re-birth. If I could do anything, be anything at I'd be free. (Re) Close Lyrics |

| There Is Hope
There is hope in the Lord. There is peace, when we trust.
There is freedom, in letting go. Let us hope, in the Lord. Even though our lives at times seem like an endless desert. A waste-land that seems barren, cold and lonely. Crying out in hopelessness bring nothing but an echo Yet a whispered prayer of hope can bring new life.(Re) Peace becomes a gift returned when trust is freely given. Choosing trust becomes a choice for peace. Let us choose to trust the Lord who loves without condition. Where trust lives we are free to hope for peace.(Re) . We collect and hold to things afraid of being needy. A child-like faith and trust becomes a threat. In the end the things we clutch just whither into ashes. Letting go to trust, God holds us and we’re free.(Re) Close Lyrics |

| Living In Your Eyes
I don't see God in the moon light. I can't see God in the stars.
I somehow miss the Lord in the sunset and finding God in a flower is hard.
I don't see the Creator in a mountain lake or in the oceans deep and wide.
And forgive me, but I fail to glimpse the God of hope in
rainbow colored skies. Yet I see God in your smile and I can see God in your eyes. I gaze upon the Lord in my children and in the tears of one who cries. I see God in the compassion of the suffering and simple gifts like bread and wine. And yes, I can see the Lord of heaven and earth, living in your eyes. I don't hear God in the church bells or in the waves crashing on the beach. I can't hear the Lord in a babbling brook or in the words of some who preach. I can't hear God in the summer breeze, or in "how you doin'?", "fine." And I'm said to say that most the time I don't hear God in this old heart of mine. Yet I hear God in your laughter and I can hear God when you sing. I hear the Lord in the words, "I forgive you" and in my children's honesty. I hear God in the wisdom of the elderly and in a new born baby's cry. Yes I can hear the Lord in your singing, and see God living in your eyes. (Bridge)I am certain God is present and eternally alive in times and places I will never hear or see. It's just that when and if, I see and hear the God of all Creation it is then I sense that God loves me. Yes I hear God in your laughter and I can see God in your eyes. I hear the Lord in the words "I forgive you" and in the tears of one who cries. I see God in the compassion of the suffering and simple gifts of bread and wine. And I can hear the Lord through your singing and see God living in your eyes. Yes, I can see the Lord of heaven and of earth, living in your eyes. Close Lyrics |

| We Will Remember You
No greater gift has been given than in God giving of His only Son.
There is no clearer way this is envisioned than through the life of one
who deeply loves. Love freely given and unmeasured is like the rain
to dry and barren ground. You're love has brought life to our whole family.
You've been the voice that's taught us joyful song. (Re) When we eat this bread, when we drink this cup, we will remember you...remember you, as loving us. As we hear God's Word and as we live out what we have heard, we will remember you...remember you, as loving us. A small bit of yeast gently kneaded greatly affects all the bread. Evenly it soon begins its rising to be broken so that someone might be fed. All throughout your life you truly loved us. The leaven of your love has touched our soul. It's kneaded us together and, with faithfulness, we can be the bread for breaking in the world. (Re) Close Lyrics |

| Return My People
(Re) Return, return my people Return of your own hearts and mind. Return to love, return to life Return to me, for you. Come to me just as you are Broken, afraid and confused. Give me the chance to be The God of Hope. Let me hold and heal you. (Re) I am the God of all creation. All that is good comes from Me. Don’t be afraid my love goes Far beyond your dreams. Come take my hand and Be at peace. (Re) (Last refrain sung with “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot) Close Lyrics |

| I Can Love
I can't sing, I can't dance. I can't write a song, or tell a joke or mend your pants. I can't think deep thoughts, I get confused. But there are some special things that God would like for me to do. (re) I can love. I can smile. I can laugh with you or share your pain or just sit and listen for awhile. And I can pray. I can dream. I can spend my life giving all God gave to me. I can't act or remember facts. I'm not all that cute, I can't play the flute or win at jacks. And I can't bake a cake without making it taste like glue. But there are some special things that God would like for me to do. (re) Close Lyrics |

| My Girl(My Mom)
I've got sunshine on a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside I've got the month of May. I guess you'd say What can make me feel this way? My mom - my mom - mom... Talkin' 'bout my mom, MY MOM. I've got so much honey, the bees envy me. I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees. I guess you'd say What can make me feel this way? My mom - my mom - mom... Talkin' 'bout my mom, MY MOM. Ooooh. Hey hey hey Hey hey hey Hey hey hey I don't need no money, fortune, or fame. I've got all the riches baby one man can claim. I guess you'd say What can make me feel this way? My mom - my mom - mom... Talkin' 'bout my mom, MY MOM. Close Lyrics |

| Breathe Deep
(Re) O’ HOW WE YEARN IN FAITH, FOR YOUR SAVING BREATH O’ GOD. O’ HOW WE YEARN IN FAITH, FOR YOUR SAVING BREATH O’ GOD. ON THAT GREAT DAY A SHOOT SHALL SPROUT. FROM THE STUMP OF JESSE’S TREE.. MERCY SHALL FILL THE AIR THAT DAY, SO BREATH...BREATHE DEEP. (Re) THEN SHALL THE WOLF AND LAMB BE FRIENDS, THE LION AND CHILD PLAY IN PEACE. LAUGHTER WILL FILL THE AIR THAT DAY, SO BREATH...BREATHE DEEP. (Re) JUSTICE SHALL RULE THE LAND THAT DAY. OPPRESSORS BROUGHT DOWN TO THEIR KNEES. COMPASSION WILL FILL THE AIR THAT DAY, SO BREATH...BREATHE DEEP. (Re) SWORDS WILL TURNED INTO PLOW SHARES. FREEDOM WILL SOAR IN THE BREEZE. A SONG OF REJOICING WILL FILL THE AIR SO BREATH...BREATHE DEEP.(Re) Close Lyrics |

| Night Of Silence- Silent Night by Daniel Kantor Cold are the people, winter of life we tremble in shadows This cold winter’s night. Frozen in the snow, lie roses, sleeping. Flowers that will echo the sunrise. Fire of hope is our only warmth. Weary it’s flame will be dying soon. Voice in the distance, call in the night On wind you enfold us you speak of the light. Gentle on the ear, you whisper, softly; Rumors of a dawn so embracing. Breathless love awaits darkened Souls, Soon will we know of the morning. Spirit among us, shine like the star, Your light that guides shepherds and kings from afar. Shimmer in the sky so empty, lonely, rising In the warmth of your Son’s love. Star unknowing of night and day Spirit we wait for you loving Son. Silent night, holy night all is calm, all is bright. Round yon virgin, mother and child. Holy infant so tender and mild. Holy infant so tender and mild. © 1986 G.I.A.Publications, Inc/SESAS Used with Permission Close Lyrics |

| Gabriel's Message
The Angel Gabriel from Heaven came
His wings as drifted snow, His eyes as flame.
"O' hail," said He, "the holy maiden Mary.
Most highly favored lady. Gloria." "For known a blessed mother thou shall be. All generations laud & honor thee. Thy Son shall be Emanuel by seers fore told. Most highly favored lady. Gloria." Then gentle Mary meekly bowed her head. "To thee be as it pleases God," she said. "My Son shall hold and magnify His Holy Name." "Most highly favored lady. Gloria." Of her Emanuel, The Christ was born. In Bethlehem all on a Christmas morn. And everyone throughout the world shall ever say, "Most highly favored lady. Gloria." Close Lyrics |

| Hold Me
(Re) Hold me, hold me help me to know I'm alright. Touch me not only with your arms but with your voice, with your heart, with your life. Deep inside I'm but a child yet I have learned I must be strong and need no one. My strenght has brought me to my knees with emptiness and a child needs another's touch or it may not live. (Re) I'm not asking for a cure. I'm begging not you to take my pain away. I'm not looking for a sleeve to dry my tears all I hope for is the touch that says you care.(Re) Close Lyrics |

| Share It With Me
When you're feeling like your life is much to heavy to bear,
you can share it with me.
When your days and nights start turning into one, long
cold gray, you can share it with me. When you're feeling
like you're trapped in a bad dream and you're not sure
just how to wake up; and you're very confused, I have been
there too. When who you are's replaced with expectations and deeds, you can share it with me. And you're sure no one would miss you if you just disappeared well, you're in good company. Or if anger and resentment pitch a tent in your heart and are feasting on your joy and your dreams, you can share it with me. And I promise I won't try to fix you 'cause I'm not here to be your judge. It's just I yearn to keep the seed of trust alive in your soul 'cause the fruit it bears is knowing you're loved. When like a castaway you're drifting on the pain of the past and the harbors of tomorrow can't be found, you can share it with me. When you just can't put the words on how you're feeling inside; it's not easy to do and you need some time and space to struggle alone, well, you can share that too. You see yearn to keep the seed of trust alive in your soul 'cause the fruit it bears can set you free. And I love you enlessly. I'll wait for you and seed of trust to bloom, so you can share anything with me. Close Lyrics |

| The Body Of Love
(Re) Come and eat, be with me. All that I am is now yours. As we share this meal, we are one...one in the body of love. (Repeat 1st time) One now in laughter, one in the pain as we live out the stories of today. One in dignity, just as you are; a tender voice, a gentle touch, a human heart that's bathed in love.(Re) One now in history and what is to be as we live out the stories of today. One in the mystery of death and new life; with each choice to give, each moment lived in the essessence of eternal love. Come and eat, be with me. All that I am is now yours. As we share this meal, we are one...one in the body of love. We are the body of Love. Close Lyrics |

| On Eagle's Wings
by Michael Joncas (Re) And He will raise you up on eagle's wings. Bear you on the breath of dawn. Make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hands. You who dwell in the shelter of Lord who abide in His shadow for life. Say to the Lord, "my refuge, my rock in whom I trust."(Re) The snare of the fowler will never capture you. And famine will bring you no fear. Under His wings, your refuge; His faithfulness, your sheild.(Re) You need not fear the terror of the night nor the arrows that fly by day. Though thousands fall about you, near you it shall not come.(Re) For to His angles He's given a command, to guard you in all your way. Upon their hands He will bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone. ©1979,1991 NEW DAWN MUSIC Administered by OCP, Used with permission Close Lyrics |

| Calls Me Dad
There is no greater honor, than knowing I'm your father.
There is no finer gift, than you.
There is no life more sacred, than the one that was laid down
in my arms, on the day you were born. There is no richer man in this or any land for no one else shares the wealth of your love. And I'm most grateful in every way, just to be with you and play and to laugh with you, and to cry and to sing. (Re) For I believe deep in my soul, with every breath, in every bone that I the most blest man I know. And in great joy and in despair what reminds me who I am; is to know it's you...who calls me dad. There is no safer place than in the arms of your embrace for it's there where I am at home. And all the pictures that you draw, all the letters and the songs keep me company when I feel alone.(Re) To me you're more than just a child of mine; you've been a teacher and friend at times, and you're the touch of God, that heals my broken life. Yes I believe deep in my soul, with every breath, in every bone that I the most blest man I know. And in great joy and in deep despair what reminds me who I am; is to know it's you...who calls me dad. To know it's you; Christy, and you, Olivia, and you, Patrick, and you, Kelli, and you, Emily, and you, Nicholas; who calls me dad. Close Lyrics |
